A line of thunderstorms developed ahead of an approaching cold front during the afternoon across western Wisconsin and tracked through northeast Wisconsin through the evening hours on Wednesday (6/15). The storms formed into a Quasi-Linear Convective System (QLCS) with multiple reports of damaging winds of 70 to 80 mph as well as 10 tornadoes embedded within the main line of thunderstorms. The 10 tornadoes ties a record for the most tornadoes in an event for northeast Wisconsin. Additional storms late in the evening produced a few reports of large hail near the lakeshore as they moved offshore. ||The swath of damaging winds caused multiple power outages, with over 125,000 customers without power across northeast Wisconsin. Power was not restored for several days across many areas as the cleanup from the storms took an extended period of time.

The second winter storm in a week struck during the Thanksgiving weekend, impacting Wisconsin from late Saturday evening November 30th through Sunday December 1st. The storm developed over the Central Plains early Saturday, then quickly moved east to the Wisconsin/Illinois border on Sunday. Warm air aloft brought a mix of rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow to the area Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening, transitioning to all snow by Saturday night and continuing into Sunday. A band of 8 to 12 inches fell across northern Wisconsin, with some areas receiving as much as 14 inches of snow. Farther south, snowfall totals were lower, in the 4 to 8 inch range; however, gusty winds caused some downed trees and power outages across the region. The combination of high bay and lake water levels and strong northeast winds also caused considerable flooding along the bay and lake.||Some of the higher snowfall totals included 14.0 inches in Wausaukee (Marinette Co.), 13.5 inches near Mountain (Oconto Co.), 13.4 inches in Florence (Florence Co.), 12.2 inches in Washington Island (Door Co.), 12.1 inches in Crivitz High Falls (Oconto Co.), 11.6 inches in White Lake (Langlade Co.), and 11.3 inches near Argonne (Forest Co.) as well as Rice Reservoir (Lincoln Co.).

A strengthening low pressure system developed over the central Plains and moved northeast to Lake Michigan, bringing 10 to 14 inches of heavy snow, and occasionally sleet, to northern and portions of central Wisconsin. The wet, heavy snow accumulating on trees and power lines, along with strong winds, caused widespread power outages across much of northern Wisconsin with over 40,000 residences impacted. The combination of strong winds and high water levels caused flooding along the shoreline of the Bay of Green Bay and Lake Michigan.||Some of the highest snowfall totals included 14.8 inches near Land O' Lakes (Vilas Co.), 14.1 inches in Eagle River (Vilas Co.), 13.5 inches in Hazelhurst (Oneida Co.), 12.7 inches in Phelps (Vilas Co.), 11.6 inches in Rhinelander (Oneida Co.), 11.0 inches west of Merrill (Lincoln Co.), 10.8 inches in Minoqua (Oneida Co.), and 10.0 inches in Summit Lake (Langlade Co.).

Severe thunderstorms formed in very unstable air ahead of a passing cold front. The worst of the damage from the storms occurred across east-central and parts of northeast Wisconsin. Thunderstorm winds downed numerous trees and some power lines, hail as large as golf balls fell, and a weak tornado touched down on the east side of Green Bay (Brown Co.). Heavy rain led to flooding in parts of east-central Wisconsin as the storms formed an east-west line that slowly moved southeast.

Isolated severe thunderstorms developed as a frontal boundary moved into the area from the northeast and encountered an unstable air mass. The storms caused tree and power line damage and dropped hail as large as penny size.
