A damaged power pole cut electricity to over 3,000 customers in San Luis Obispo County, and the situation is still developing. Here’s what we know so far and what to expect next.
Power was temporarily interrupted for more than 3,000 PG&E customers in southern San Luis Obispo County after a broken pole caused the outage on Tuesday morning. PG&E’s outage center indicates that 3,044 customers lost power at 8:19 a.m. Crews identified a damaged power pole and began repair work immediately.
The outage predominantly affected the town of Oceano, with the map showing most impacted customers located east of Front Street, south of Farroll Avenue, west of The Pike, and north of Cienaga Street. Additional outages appeared along Cienaga Street, extending from Elm Street to Halcyon Road on both sides of the street.
Power restoration occurred by 10:30 a.m.
